Steve Van Anden is a visual artist and author who lives and works in New York City and the Berkshires.
His current work visually explores a hypothetical nexus between the I Ching, quantum entanglement and a topology for laying out qubits for future generations of quantum computers.
His first novel, The Student of Truth, chronicles the struggles of a young woman as she navigates a world rocked by scandal, the women’s movement and the the emergence of “free thought” in colonial New Zealand.
Steve and his wife, Anita Contini, have been long-time and active participants in New York’s cultural world. In the past, Steve has served on the boards of Dance Theater Workshop, Queens Museum and Queens Library.
